How it works

From sending to a verifiable delivery, in three steps.

Nothing to install: the sender works in the dashboard and each participant signs in the browser, on a computer or a phone.

Send

Upload the PDF and choose who signs.

Attach the document, add the participants and choose how signing happens. Once sent, the document is frozen: what each person signs is exactly what you uploaded.

  • PDF up to 15 MB
  • 1 to 10 participants
  • Simultaneous or sequential order
  • Deadline from 1 to 90 days

Sign

Each participant signs through their own link.

Each person receives an individual link by e-mail. To read and sign, they confirm a one-time code sent to the same address, draw or type their signature and record their acceptance. Anyone who disagrees can decline.

Track and download

Follow along and get everything together.

In the dashboard you see who has signed and who is missing. When everyone is done, Pactaris seals the set and delivers the final package for download, ready to keep and verify.

Features

What Pactaris does today.

Only what already works. No promises about future features.

  • PDF upload

PDF documents up to 15 MB. The file is fixed at sending; to change anything, create a new request.

  • Up to 10 participants

All at once or in sequence: in the chosen order, each person is invited when the previous one signs.

  • Deadline from 1 to 90 days

You decide until when the document can be signed. After the deadline the request expires and this is recorded.

  • Individual link and code

Each participant has their own link, which only opens with a one-time code sent to the e-mail provided.

  • Drawn or typed signature

Draw with a finger or mouse, or type the name. The acceptance is recorded together with the exact document that was shown.

  • Right to decline

Anyone who disagrees can decline and give a reason. The refusal also goes into the event trail.

  • Tracking dashboard

See who has signed and who is missing. Filter by status and search by title, code or participant.

  • Dashboard with MFA

Sender access requires a password and a second factor, with a code generated in an authenticator app.

  • Computer and phone, light and dark

Everything in the browser. The interface adapts to the screen and offers light and dark themes.

Evidence and verification

A delivery anyone can check.

Each signature leaves organized traces. In the end, everything is gathered into a sealed, verifiable package.

  • Evidence report

A PDF with the participants, acceptances, dates and times, the IP address and browser of each access, plus the verification code.

  • Chained event trail

Each event carries the hash of the previous one. Changing, removing or reordering an event no longer goes unnoticed.

  • Digital seal

Pactaris digitally signs, with Ed25519, the manifest of the files in the set. Any change to the files can be detected.

Public verification

Anyone can check a set in the verification portal, without creating an account and without seeing the document content.

  • QR Code

Printed in the evidence report, it leads straight to verification.

  • Code

    Type the request's verification code.

  • File

Upload the original, the report, the event log, the manifest or the complete ZIP.

  • The portal shows only the status, the organization, the number of signatures and the seal key. It does not show the content or e-mails, and the uploaded file is not stored.
  • You can also verify outside Pactaris, with common tools, using the seal's public key.

Simple electronic signature

What it proves, and what it does not.

Pactaris offers simple electronic signature, with an evidence trail. The signer is identified by control of the e-mail address provided by the sender: the link is individual and the one-time code arrives at that same e-mail.

What the evidence set shows

  • That whoever had access to the participant's e-mail opened the link, entered the code and confirmed the acceptance.
  • Exactly which document was shown: its SHA-256 hash is recorded at sending and recalculated at acceptance.
  • When and how: date and time, IP address, browser and the sequence of events.
  • That the set of files has not changed since sealing, thanks to the digital seal over the manifest.

What it does not prove

  • The person's civil identity: the code proves control of the mailbox, not who is using it.
  • That the seal identifies the signer: it attests the integrity of the files and is not a personal certificate.
  • The time before third parties: there is no trusted timestamp; the time is the server's.
  • Advanced or qualified signature: Pactaris does not issue a digital certificate for the signer.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers, no fine print.

What is a simple electronic signature?

It is a signature made by electronic means in which the person is identified by a simple method, here control of the e-mail, and expresses the intent to sign. Pactaris adds an evidence trail (document hash, chained events, report and seal) so the act can be checked later.

Is the signature legally valid?

Pactaris does not promise any specific legal validity. It delivers a simple electronic signature with organized evidence; whether that level is enough depends on the type of document and on what the parties agreed. Documents that require a specific form are not covered by this service. Consult your lawyer if in doubt.

How does Pactaris identify the signer?

By control of the e-mail. The sender provides each participant's address, and that participant receives an individual link and a one-time code at that address. This shows that someone with access to the mailbox signed; it does not prove the person's civil identity.

Do I need a digital certificate to sign?

No. The participant signs in the browser, with the link and the code received by e-mail. In return, Pactaris does not issue a digital certificate for the signer and is neither an advanced nor a qualified signature. If your case requires those levels, Pactaris is not the right tool.

Which files can I send?

PDF files up to 15 MB. PDFs with active content (such as JavaScript), embedded files or password protection are rejected at screening. After sending, the document is frozen: the file, the participants and the order cannot be changed. To change anything, create a new request.

How many people can sign the same document?

From 1 to 10 participants. You choose between simultaneous order, in which everyone is invited at once, and sequential order, in which each person is invited when the previous one signs.

What if someone declines, or the deadline passes?

Anyone who disagrees can decline and give a reason. The deadline ranges from 1 to 90 days; if it ends before everyone has signed, the request expires. The sender can also cancel a request in progress. Refusal, expiry and cancellation are recorded in the event trail.

What does a participant need to do to sign?

Open the link received, ask for the 6-digit code that arrives at the same e-mail, read the document and confirm the acceptance by drawing the signature or typing the name. It works in the browser on a computer or a phone, with nothing to install.

What comes in the final package?

A ZIP file with the original document, the evidence report in PDF, the event log, the manifest with the digital seal, the signature images, the verification instructions and the public key. When possible, it also includes a single PDF with the original followed by the report. The single PDF is a convenience: the separate original file remains the reference.

How do I verify a document?

In the verification portal, by QR Code (printed in the report), by the request code or by uploading a file from the set. The portal shows the status, the organization, the number of signatures and the seal key, without exposing the content or e-mails. Verification can also be done outside Pactaris, with common tools and the public key.

Does the seal prove who signed? Does it prevent the file from being deleted?

No. Pactaris's digital seal is a signature over the manifest of the files: it lets you detect any change, but it does not identify the signer and is not a personal certificate. Nor does it, by itself, prevent a file from being deleted or replaced; that is why we recommend downloading and keeping the final package.

Where is the data kept and for how long?

Documents and evidence are kept in private storage, on cloud provider infrastructure that may be outside Brazil. The retention period has not been defined yet: nothing is deleted automatically, and the period will be agreed by contract with each organization. Details are in the Privacy policy.

Is there public sign-up or a price?

There is no public sign-up. Pactaris is in a restricted pilot, and access is granted on request, by e-mail to contato@firmaris.com.br. Commercial terms will be handled directly with whoever requests access.

Who is behind Pactaris?

Pactaris is a Firmaris Group product, developed and operated by Firmaris itself.
